आज फिर एक बार दर्द से मैं रूबरू हुआ
सालोंसाल का था सिलसिला जो शुरू हुआ
लिया कुछ न दिया कुछ खामखां गले पड़ा
मगर आज दर्द को मैंने धराशायी कर दिया

दर्द जैसे जैसे अपनी चादर समेट रहा है
उबलता हुआ खूं नसों में अब रेंगने लगा है
जिस्म मेरा राहत की ठंडी आहें भर रहा है
और दर्द मेरे सामने है , पड़ा तड़प रहा है

ख़ुश है मन मेरा बड़ी जीत है भाव विभोर
तड़पता बेइंतेहा जब दर्द से था सराबोर
इस दर्द ने तो समझो कोहराम कर दिया
जिस्म के पुर्जों को मुझसे बागी कर दिया
ज़ज़्ब होकर नसों को जैसे हो गला दिया
बामशक्कत मिली कैद ए उम्र की सज़ा
जबसे इस बेदर्द के शिकंजे में जकड़ा हूँ
ज़रा ज़रा रोज़ तिल तिल मरा करता हूँ
बेदर्द इतना कि हिलने न देता था मुझे
रह रह कर कई दफा कुचलता था मुझे
आज है शिकार मैं शिकारी बन खड़ा हूँ
पाँव इसकी छाती पर रखे हुए खड़ा हूँ
चीख़ रहा है दया की भीख माँगता हुआ

I Faced the Pain Today

Verse 1
I faced the pain again today, it came from long ago,
A silent storm that took from me, yet never let me go.
It gave me nothing, took no gold — just wrapped around my spine,
But today I rose, I broke its grip — this victory is mine.

Verse 2
As pain retreats, it folds its sheet, and fades into the mist,
My blood runs wild like lava streams, my fists begin to twist.
My body breathes in cooler air, relief in every vein,
While pain now shivers at my feet, and trembles in disdain.

I stand in joy, I roar with might — the storm has met its end,
Where once I curled and cried alone, I now no longer bend.
Each bone in me, a rebel once, has found its voice and ground,
That ruthless pain, it made me weak, but I refused to drown.

It tied me tight, it caged my soul, it crushed me every night,
It clawed me down, again, again — and swallowed all my light.
But now I place my foot atop its chest, and hear it scream,
Begging mercy, whispering lies, like echoes in a dream…
